  6. C/S Pro is not just another set of database components. There's a lot of good stuff out 
  7. there providing enhanced grid components and things like that. C/S Pro is a set of highly 
  8. intelligent components which work perfectly together with other database components and
  9. give you powerful features for your applications not found anywhere else ( as far as I know):

  12. ╖ Soundex alogrithms for the english and the german language generate "soundalike" strings
  13.   that can be stored and used in queries automatically
  14. ╖ "Hook" for custom soundex algorithms
  15. ╖ Automatic round functions for currency and float fields
  16. ╖ Dropdown calendar for date fields
  17. ╖ Automatic, sophisticated QBE functionality without coding
  18. ╖ Supports range selections, inversion ( NOT ) and basic comparison operators (=,<>,<,>) 
  19.   through design time / runtime properties
  20. ╖ Network messaging component allows easy information exchange over the network
  21. ╖ Fully automatic "live" data on all db forms of your application over the whole network;
  22.   all clients in the network talk to each other to trigger table and query refresh
  23.   when needed (and only when needed: this is not just a stupid polling mechanism) !

  31. Installation

  33. Run TCSPRO.EXE to install the components and samples. After setup has finished sucessfully,
  34. run Delphi and install the new component palette using Options/Install Components/Add (File
  35. TCSPRO.DCU).

  37. If setup fails, copy TCSPRO.DCU, TCSPRO.DCR, TCSQBE.DCU, NETCOM.DCU, NETSYNC.DCU,
  38. TCSLKP.DCU and CALPOP.DFM to a directory in your library search path (typically \delphi\lib);
  39. finally, add TCSPRO.DCU to your component library.

  41. To let the demos run please copy the CUSTOMER.DB and the CUSTSX.DB files from the samples
  42. directory to your delphi/demos/data directory.
